afternoon all, i'm officially now sick of my rad leaking, it's served me well for the last few years but every summer now i'm having to
have a different leak fixed so it's time for it to go and hopefully replace it with something a bit lighter too.
does anyone have some pictures of the mounting and plumbing of a VW polo radiator fitted in an indy and plumbed up to a pinto engine? the radiator i
can get stupidly cheap brand new through work so that isn't a problem, just a little unsure of the plumbing and avoiding air locks etc.
thanks in advance for any help you can give.
I have a polo rad on my mk indy , but i have a zetec fitted, got some pics in my photo archive if it any good to you.
many thanks for that dunk, at least now i know they do actually fit and have some idea how i can mount it. do you know the hose sizes needed on the rad?
these may be of help hopefully, been a while since installed and no problems so far
.
oh oh having problems posting
in my photo archive called engine bay front and rear
the "feed" from the header tank, have you T'd that into the bottom hose? that really is my only stumbling point at the moment. i had my rad custom made and he put a seperate pipe straight into the bottom of the rad off the header tank. obviously a polo rad only has top and bottom hose so my thoughts are if i run T peice into the bottom hose that would do the job?

Correct the bottom hose from the header tank goes to a T piece on the bottom hose from the rad. It's the hose running around the edge of the
drivers side of the car.
hope that's of help
