Please could anyone tell me the track width's of the Indy and the GT1, it's realy only the front I'm after, hub to hub.
Cheers
Surly some one must know, phoned the factory today, and the bloke said that it's 6" wider than a MK2 Escort. Just have to find out what that is now.
if it's an indy your building it's all pre set by MK.... if your out to copy an MK fraid you'll get no help off me as i've seen to many companies rip martin off..... a hell of a lot of hard work getting the indy to run on rails
I'm not after Ripping anybody off, and I'm not being underhanded, all I want to Know is weather it's worth me buying MK's the
front suspension, A arms rack etc.
But I need a track width of 1525mm (60", so with the wheels it becomes 64" overall width.
Track width's are hardly a Black art, A arm positions and lengths are more of the things I understand that you would not want posted.
My car needs some front suspen as you can see.

So as you can see, I'm not into copying anybody... I want to be one of a kind.
overall track outside to outside of tyre is about 61" using 195 tyres, outside of tyre to bottom wishbone mount is about 24" ......outside
of tyre to top wishbone mount is about 21" using mk indy wishbones which are longer in length than book wishbones..... bump steer will be a
problem thats why the shortened rack.... if you use a mine rack your wheels will turn left when you turn the steering wheel to the right.........I
would suggest you contact Martin and tell him what you want to do......he is brilliant at solving problems ...... in fact he likes a challenge

times like this the magic box idea comes back to mind.
I have bought 20M of T45 38mm tubing to make a space frame chassis for the hole car. Just using the mini body for a Silhouette, but need to work out
the A arm positions before I can start the chassis rails at the front.
So first had to Decide overall track width (64" outside tyre to tyre), then choose the wheels and width's etc ( Team Dynamics Monza's
7x15" with 38et offset)
on Sierra Uprights.
So that's the stage I'm at. If the MK has a 61" overall width with a Shortened rack, then if it was not shortened and I just move apart
the A arms chassis brackets the same amount as they shorten the rack, then I might be nearer the 64" I'm after.
