According to this site

You can go for 245/45 15 on a rim from 8in to 9.5in. Not sure about the ET

Again if the wings are OK - dont know ?

craig have been doing up your westfeild over xmas it looks alot better in that pic now.

I used 8 x 15 wheels the ET was 35 i think which was the 'biggest' offset(unless you spent loads of money or used minilites) i could get but I will have to use 14 inch arches stuck out about 13.25 inches with 225/50's

It wasn't an mk chassis but i think the width is the same

IMHO if you go with anything over 205's in a 7 style, say goodbye to any form of driving in the wet, as i currently have 13"x6 205and will be changing to 185/195 when back on the road

My 7 in the wet was undrivable above 50/60mph in the wet, i could actually turn the steering (a lot) and made no difference to the direction of the car

SCARY !!

I agree with steve m, I have 205's on front and back, and to make it worse there on 17" rims, bloody thing is very twitchy in the wet, great in the dry though. I think it's because they never get enough heat in them when it's wet. Cheers Ray

I was looking to get a set of these which are 6.5j
http://www.dotz-alloys.co.uk/dotz-mugello_c34141_31302.htm

They are et38 but will they fit my MK and will they take 185 width tyres or will I need togo to wider tyres?
