The ferry is booked, TF is on for three days and my guest house has a sauna, however, Lots of people being asked for front plates at the barriers at Nurburgring.

I have not rocked a front plate ever on the R1, however, how have you law abiding citizens fitted yours and what size did you go for.

main concern is brackets as it is on an angle

I got a small one [12" x 6"] off showplates on ebay. Secured with double sided tape [supplied]

can you onfirm sizes mate of that, sure that isnt 12x6, more like 12x3

looks good,, but the nose cone your car has (worx?) has a nice mounting point lol

Mine is 304mm long x 76mm high.
Its lightweight.
And held on with double sided tape

Just get some double sided and stick it on before you go through the border control, take it off afterwards (you won't need it on the way back).

Just make sure you have all the papers for the car and it'll be fine.

They stopped me and weren't going to let me through on my bike, because I had no lights on it - But I didn't actually know that I had to take my doc's... (Idiot, I know!)

I've got a sticky on my nosecone. No problems so far but it doesn't mean they won't throw a wobbler. Don't forget your flourescent jacket, emergency flares etc if travelling through France. Nice little earner if ever there was one
