What size filter for ZX12 under an Indy bonnet?

Has anyone got any idea what size sausage filter will fit on a zx12r under the bonnet (bulged) of an Indy??

ITG filter JC40 S50 will fit. The 'S' part of S50 determines the shape but I can't remember whether the 50 relates to internal or external height in mm's.

Definitely fits though

Cheers mate, much appreciated. I could see the one on your site just couldn't figure out the height.

Ahh, seems the 50 is only on special order now, the standard ones are 25, 40, 65 & 100. The heights are internal measurements so they tell me.

Thanks again

It was definitely an S50. Thing is, you want as much height as you can possibly get above the ram pipes. The 65mm may not fit without squashing the filter against the underside of the bonnet and the 40mm may be too short. 50mm is just about right for our application but your engine may be slightly higher or lower so it might be worth double checking the available height before ordering one.

i think this is the one eddbaz uses as i was going to get the same one but used an airbox instead

I think I'm going to go down the route of using an airbox instead. I mocked one up last night which fits under the bonnet nicely with the filter in the region of the airflow from the scoop and works out at 11 litres (as per one of hellfire's previous posts) with good clearance above the inlets.

We got half way through making an airbox a couple of years ago but never got round to finishing it off The idea was that we could get the Power Commander mapped on a rolling road with a quiet exhaust and filter.

We'd then have two setups available (with a quick change of exhaust, air filter and PC map), for both noise restricted trackdays and regular road driving/drag racing.

In reality, we just keep away from really quiet trackdays.
