I need to make a decision on the engine mounts in my Indy. I am using a Duratec 2.5 V6. The Duratec 2.5L has his engine mounts on the front and on the back of the engine (instead on the left and right). Instead of using the standard engine mountplates on the Indy frame, is it possible to use the space just before the steering rack in order to make mounting plates?

With just a single mounting on the front , the engine would try to rotate as soon as you started it

Left I will use a balancing mount, stops rotating the engine!

On Mark 1/2 mondeos, the engine in the transverse application has a front and a rear mount to stop the engine rocking, I think these two, which will be at the sides in your application, and the gearbox mount, will hold the engine adequately

On my Mazda V6 I used the alternator mounts for the engine mount , and moved the alternator to the other side on a home-made bracket - can you do something similar on the Duratec ?
