A couple of pics of my revised carb setup on the 2.0 Blacktop. It's not pretty but seems to work well, and still fits under the bonnet.

What the air box made from ???
looks o.k. to me
0.8mm ish steel - I think it used to be an electric convection heater!
In true locost style I pulled it out of the skip at the local dump!

Looks great. very similar to the one i had before i fitted turbo, i found out that a cold air feed made a noticeable difference, Kev.
Looking good Stu,hoping to do something similar soon.
Looks similar to the one I made out of a washing machine but on the RR session they found it to not have enough capacity and strangled the engine at
top revs
ATM mine is wide open an roars like a tiger

Hi all ive been making one as well got the bare bones right now and hoping to get it welded up this week,
Then having a removable lid to gain access to the fixings, and a direct cold air feed from down in the front of the nosecone.
How much BHP do you gain if any from this , Is there a noticable difference.
Bearing in mind just had it on the rolling road with out airbox and was getting 209 BHP
