front wishbones and brackets

I've made my wishbones as per book.
But before I fit them, are the figures and diamentions for the mounting of the front upper and lower wishbones and brakets correct in Ron's Book?

Any warnings greatly apreciated at this stage

Thanx

No..... No they are not

We had a thread a while back which went on for ages 'Accurate front suspension'

I had to redisign my upper wishbones to compensate, others cut the whole front off their car, others called the Samaritains.

If you want to keep your upper wishbones, I am sure someone will point you in the direction of an accurate drawing for placing the brackets. I welded my brackets on symetrically, which looked good on the car, but because the book upper wishbones don't have enough setback to give the required castor, you will have to make wishbones with more built in castor, or move the brackets back on the chassis, to the point where they are half on hallf off.

If you want plans for the modified upper wishbones, I will post them

Find the thread I mentioned and reply to this if you have any queries
