MK Locost radiator?

I am getting back to building my MK Locost and looking at radiators. I bought a Polo one ages ago, and had a look at mounting it, and find that the in and out pipes basically hit the chassis!

Maybe I have the wrong Polo rad?

Any suggestions as to what might be the best option? Engine is crossflow Ford.

Normal problem, you need to make up/use a pipe with an 90 bend to get over the chassis. A search should provide some photos, other makes have the same issue.

Just for info the rad I have has a core of 380 X 320. And was listed for a 1 litre 83-90.

Looks too small to me!

Not an MK, but I bought the larger golf rad and raised it up to miss the strikers lower rail.

Details of rad are :
Golf/Vento 1.4.16 91-98
430x320mm
VW334E
VW Ref: 6N0.121.253 A / B

There are different sizes, and core thickness, the larger polo rad will not fit under the MK noise...

Clio rads have an angled bottom hose connector, they fit well.
This is mine.
