Handbrake Options
Hi all......can anyone post photos please of handbrake set up especially the anchoring of the cables (adjuster end) as they go into the trans tunnel?
I plan to fit a cable to each drum on an Escort live rear axle.
Thanks,
Matt

I used a Rover lever with Landrover cables.
Check THIS section of my blog.
I had to fiddle with the hole in the backplate and make the hole in the adjuster bigger as the LR cables are butch compared to the ford ones.

I used the cable from a morris marina but had to make a compensator to weld on the axle, simple to make, you don need to cut the cable and get the end
bit crimped back on for SVA/IVA.
I did have a file which was taken from locostcarclub.co.uk
I have a pair of allegro inner cables which you can have for £5.00 if you want them

Check my blog page here.
I have used BC805 handbrake cables (as per book), and a home made balance bar.

Thanks to all for help and advice so far. I think I've got the routing of the cables sorted, but I've now discovered that the handbrake
pull from the back offside drum hits the panhard rod bush. See piccie. Any advice??
