hole size question
robertst - 6/6/07 at 11:01 AM

i'm in the process of mounting the steering column support on the footwell plate as described in chris Gibb's book.

i'm doubting wheteher the hole size on this plate should be 40mm as the book says... is this right? i measured the thingy on the steering column which is supposed to rest on this and it is far less...

i was thinking i might be missing the rubber grommet that goes on top of this thingy in the column?

so is 40mm right? or is it too big?

Cheers

40mm sounds good to me, i recon you are missing the rubber part that the plastic bit goes in

Chris Gibbs has his own forum, you can post the question there too if it helps.

Are you using a Sierra column?

The hole and rubber bush everyone is talkiing about is for the Sierra rubber grommet and bush only.
