hi does any know of any books that would have plans to build a lamborghini chasis from scratch???
sorry mate, never seen anything like that.
Closest would be pictures from a book or off a Mirage chassis. They weren't all that complicated, I have a book somewhere with pictures of the
real thing and photo's. could send to you if you like...

you know there's a few guys doing mid engine cars maybe they could check to see if an existing chassis would fit...
In addition to Scott's replies I'd also say you need to clarify what you actually want to achieve.
- What model Lambo? Countach? Diablo? Murcielago? Gallardo? Miura? LM002
- Do you have a damaged Lambo that you want a new chassis for? (I know, unlikely )
- Do you have a replica body shell of some description and want to build a chassis for it? If so, what shell? What drivetrain do you expect to
use?
- Do you want to build a Lambo replica from scratch? Same questions about drivetrain etc
As Scott suggested, this question might be better placed in the Mid-Engine section of the forum too.

Does this help?

I obiously live in the wrong country, wish I could get one of those.
Been in the real thing on a racetrack, not driving off course. It was VERY fast.

If you want areally good replica of a diablo or muira click
http://lamborghinireplica.com/
I used to work with a lad whos older brother was building a Diablo from scratch. I just had a quick google for his last name in conjunction with
lambo/diablo etc. but came up short.
I'm pretty sure he did have a website showing his build and he frequented a UK based replica forum.
You may be able to get some info from such forums. Google for "lambo replica", I'm sure you'll find something of worth.

In fact, S.V.A. does not even allow cutting and shutting of driveshafts or steering rack track rods....
Best keep quiet then.
oh oh, is that in the manual, never noticed.
Foam lagging over the steering arms then...
Here's another source for plans http://www.chassisworksinc.com/

Hello all, We have a set of plans for sale for a mid engine chassis that can easily be converted to RHD. They can be used to build an inexpensive
chasis for Murcielago, Diablo or Countach..
Here is a pic of the chassis built from these plans. We most often use SBC or GM3800, with an Audi 5000 or Porsche trans.

Not being funny, but where is the strength in the middle of the chassis?
It needs a central tunnel and sides to stop the chassis from flexing.
That chassis is not complete as shown, It gets a few more bars in the middle, to tie the tunnel togetehr. It also gets 2 more bars about 9" up on
the outside which give it most of its strength. Due to the differences in the bodies, we can't put those bars in there at the factory, because
there is no standard positioning for the console or the door sill area. They have to be installed by the builder, as does the rest of the rear
firewall, A pillar bars, and body supports. Here's a pic of a complete coupe chasis,it's an older design, but you'll see the bars
I'm referring to.
