Nice job, but what is the lug on the lower side rail for? - a jacking point perhaps?

Words of advice.... any part you don't want cosmetically damaged, wrap up in something protective like bubble wrap.

Powercoat is tough but the finish gets scratched quite easily and looks a bugger in the sunlight.

The rollbar is a prime area that will take a lot of abuse whilst you clamber over the car during assembly.

Couldn't be arsed

Also, quite a bit of the chassis will be seen as I'm not trimming out the interior.

looks awesome mate, what is expensive? (if you dont mind my asking ;-)) also, just had a quick flick through the gallery, and in one shot, i think its entitled 'standing under its own steam', theres a zetec in with carbs? but the latter build shows a pinto?! Is it pinto power u r using now then?

andyharding - 29/11/05 at 04:42 PM

£140 for the powder coating. Also had it blasted which cost me £140 and the blast guy transported it for me too.

Was originally using a Zetec until I figured out it was too good a way to wee money away when I had a running Pinto engine in my donor.
