Someone gave me a full chassis in solidowrks, but after doing lots of work I discovered my suspension didn't fit the model . . . .DOH!!! it was a +4 chassis (so no help i'm afraid)

I tried the iges files and couldnt get solid edge to open them. Any chassis would do. Does anyone specifically know if solid edge can open solid works files? Thanks people, jon

I'm not sure if Solid Edge can handle native Solidworks files. I can check with the IT bloke at work tomorrow exactly what formats Solid Edge can open.

I use Solidworks daily, so if you need the IGES files converting to any other format, then give me a shout, and I'll see what I can do. Solidworks can export the formats shown in the attached jpg.

If there is any interest in different formats other than Iges, I'm more than happy to convert Flak Monkey's files (with his permission?!)

Cheers

Andy,
You can convert my files as you wish . I am very limited as to what I can convert to with ProD, and I am still waiting for my copy of solidworks!!

Cheers lads. As far as im aware part files are .prt and assemblies are .asm Could be worth a crack at it. Might just get solid works. Everyone seems to think its easier anyway, but i got solid edge free from uni...
My bad they are .par for parts.
