Turned out to be High-cost!

9 months was a pretty quick build time.

It finished up at 10:39am yesterday

He's a petrol guzzler too. My wife is going to have to get bigger tanks!

Ending chassis weight was 6lbs 9oz. Pretty light!

Appropriately, we named him Carson!

a warning - once they get to be about 16 - 18 years old the running costs get sky high

They are relativly easy to come. But bloody difficult to get rid of.

Congrats and hope all is well with the little one and mom. Very likely to slow down the build time a bit as you will have more important jobs to take care of but well worth it. I have been wondering as to putting a booster seat adaptor in mine but probably wont need it buy the time its done.

My two were both 6lb 9oz as well.

Mrs Tigere1 still thinks I'm building a four seater!!

Cannot wait to see her face when/if I wheel it out of the garage.

Mine weighed in at 6lb 12oz aged "a few mins"

16 years later, he is 6ft 4 3/4" and 16 1/2 Stone.

Result = A book Locost just aint big enough.
Changed to a Luegi Viento cos he dont fit in a Locost. Neither does the other one 14, 5ft 10" and 12 Stone, and growing like mad at the moment.

Me... well I topped out at 5ft 10" and bellied out at 18st. Locost seats make me bum feels like its in a vice!.

Thanks everyone for all the support!

Strange how I went from reading books about chassis engineering and locost building to books about figuring out newborns.

I have solved some intense problems on automobiles and engines but I couldn't figure out how to "fix" him last night!

When a friend called me about a donor car this morning, I think I got a little grounded again. I'm still going to try to keep my 2 yr start time. We'll see of it happens.

Congrats! I worked on a bunch of those projects myself. The oldest one is now in Raleigh at NC State University.
