will may a Y-piece to tie the top rail to the outer where the doubled up section begins.

That should keep me busy a while ......

Is that a CAN of Kitkat I see there? Where did you get that from and what is it being used for now?

Also what's Mrs Hacksaw?

oil catch tank - see the pipe and beather? there is a drain tap in the base.

Mrs Hacksaw is mother of Junior.

Is that for any excess that splashes about or something? Like an expansion tank for the rad water

Yes, you route the crankcase/rockercover breather through it so that any carry over is caught rather than discharged onto the road/track. Required by quite a few trackdays and also allows you to see how much carry over you have. Empty oil bottles and aluminum bike bottles being common replacments for £40 custom catchtanks.
