Always keep a big hammer and a condom in your toolbox, if you can't fix it with the hammer

Well that was great weekend!!

Weather was fantastic.. dry and warm… and some party on the Saturday night!

Only down side was realising just how slow I drive.. a very sobering experience!

I was double entered with my cousin Les who has been sprinting and hillclimbing for a long time. He had never driven the car before ( or a bike engined car) and still managed to go 4 to 5 seconds quicker than me on a 90 odd second circuit. The ZX12r is a great engine and speed was not a problem but I have a lot of work to do on the handling, Sooo

1 – I am going to get some lessons.

2 – Fit the quaife diff I have

3 – Fit 7x13in CXR’s with ACB10 rubber

4 – Have the car set up professionally

I'm still looking for a Carb Expert in the North East of Scotland.

So far I have been told about
Jim King - Reports differ
Wallace Performance - (they use Jim King for Carbs)

Scot's do it better in Kilts.

My mate was telling me today that he was taking his car to Ricky gauld in the aberchirder area to get his 40'S set up. He (ricky) used to race at Ingliston many moons ago. I can't recommend or slate him as I've no experience of him myself.

Jim King did my twin 40's on my old pinto Hood' .. did good job as well - ran very well after and he did a dyno as too. Not sure if he has moved from his old place in Inverurie..

stuff on the zx12r engine..

and

lots of bike stuff and powercommander maps.

Not sure about the diff but I thinks a LSD of some sort is the way to go. I spent most of the circuit with one wheel spinning!
