Nope but I'm there in November with ARDS training so any tips you pick up beforehand would be cool

Good news hope you can make it. I am entertaining three employees from my current sponsor "dowshu electronica" and it is their first time on track................i said I'll take it easy

I have pre emptied the next event for them and i have already said if they want to bring more people next time, then i will need to take another car and driver along to accomodate them. If they go for it they will pay for the track day for the "other car". I am sure some of you guys on the forum wouldnt mind taking a few passengers round Oulton park for free if the day was paid for you? any takers please form an orderley queue

Good to meet you dude.. shame I couldn't stay any longer. Managed to get 1 pic of you though before you came into the pits to sort your clutch cable. See at the next track day.

Cheers Rich it was good to meet you.
I wish that the clutch cable dropping was the only problem i had. we went out for two good fast sessions in the afternoon with no problem. on our third and final session about four laps, we were coming out of cascades when i noticed we had no power. tried gearing down but all i got was lots of horrible noise. i managed to coast around for about 1/4 lap but came to a halt at the hairpin. i have no oil or water loss but the car will hardly turn over

i fear for the worst, major engine bottom end fcuked. not sure but i suspect big end by the noise i was getting with the motor nearly seizing.

my next event is olivers mount hillclimb next sunday but that is looking very doubtful at the moment.
I will report back on the damage once the motor is stripped down
