Like to also say thanks to Paul and family for their hospitality, was a good day which can be measured by the fact that he couldn't get rid of us.....

Also good to meet all the other local nutters that also came in their cars and got drenched.

Andy

Strangely enough, I had a huge amount of fun driving home! I set my mind to the fact that it was pi**ing down and I was going to get wet. As it happens my motorbike oversuit kept me dry, I was warm enough, so I just enjoyed my drive.

I had to sponge about a pint of water out of the passenger side of the cabin, but never mind!

Great day, so thanks to Paul and family.

cheers,
David

BTW: I'm still in awe of Trev and his all-aluminium car - and the fact that he'd driven from Northampton to Paul's place, AND was going home in stair-rods rain!!!

It's me that should be thanking you lot.

Full marks for turning out on such a sh**y day.

Just look at it now, blue sky & dry roads.

Next time I have one of my bright ideas tell me to **** off.

Thanks again,

Paul G

I feel an apology is in order.
Sorry I didn't make it (you have no idea how dissapointed I was)
As I said in the other post I have an ear infection. It is absolutely killing me and when it started raining that was just the last straw.
So, once again I am sorry I didn't turn up but if there are any photos of the day I would be interested to see them.
Glad you all had a good time and come hell or high water I WILL be at the next gathering (even if I have to organise it myself).
Regards
Brian

Apart from anything else, I REALLy enjoyed giving it some welly when driving away from Paul's place - I thought "it may be raining, but it's a good road surface, give it some..."

Hope your neighbours are still talking to you...

Thanks to Paul and the family for making us all most welcome. Even though I got my paperwork from the DVLA in the post at 11:30, I even got some plates made, despite Half -Fords disagreeing that a cerdit card statement from a bank was infact a bank statement. I had to go elsewhere to get them made, I got running a bit late, and it was raining.. I chickened out and went in the tintop. I think I cheated myself.. I will make every effort next time to bring the Viento.

Super meeting, just enough room in the garage, Good turn out by the Die Hards in open tops (It embarrased me!!).

It was nice just to meet up an chat..

Thanks to Paul and Family, and everyone else for going.

Looks like Gaz has the only pics, and then only two.
Sorry Rusty, but they were taken before you arrived.

Bad news!

Shiny, new and road legal car - and all you can do is to stare at the nurses...

One consolation - Paul's pictures don't really convey the stair-rods rainfall on the day!

Get well soon.

David
