Suffolk/Essex Bacon Butty Day. 27th May
Time we had another meat chaps.
I thought a Bacon Butty meet would be good. My Missus has volunteered to do the cooking.
I suggest the Saturday afternoon of the bank holiday, that's....
Saturday 27th May, 1 O'clock
So if you can make it, we'd love to see you. Bring the wife / partner / girlfriend etc.
All welcome, pay us a visit.
And just for fun, how about a Raffle ?
Everyone bring a prize, wrapped up, under a fiver, and preferably car orientated.
No charge for tickets, you bring a prize, you win a prize.
I'm just west of Sudbury. If you haven't been before drop me a U2U and I'll give you my post code.
A few newcomers would be nice, names to faces etc.
Post if you can make it. It will give me an idea of numbers.
See you soon, (I hope)

I will be popping along. Nearly talked the wife into coming until she realised it was an excuse for a bunch of petrol heads to stand around and talk
about their cars!
David, maybe we could go in convoy?
Paul, this is my third year of your hospitality so i will bring some food and drink along to help with the costs. Some nice snags and some cans of
soft drinks be ok?
Doug.

I wouldn't mind meeting a few of the local Locost folk, but I'm away that weekend.
Let me know when you have another meet, if I'm lucky I might have the car finished in time.

Update
Hi All,
Right then. No more talk about the weather.
(Long range says showers clearing by midweek)
So far, we have a dozen or so (+ other half's) with possibly nine cars.
That will fill the front lawn.
Some of these are hot from the SVA so it should be interesting to say the least.
Any more? You will be more than welcome.
To give an idea of where I am, I'm....
15 mins west of Sudbury
25 mins north of Braintree
35 mins south of Bury St Eds
35 mins s/e of Newmarket
40 mins east of Cambridge
U2U for postcode / directions
If those of you in tintops could park on the piece of ground opposite the church
we can keep all the sevens together. Thanks.
If anyone else that would like to come could U2U or post on this thread it will help me
with the butty numbers. (or veggie alternative) Again thanks.
Don't forget the raffle prize, and I hope you have "A Grand Afternoon Out."

On the drive mate, but please leave your side windows down.
Then we can all hold our lager in the shade.

Was thinking the same thing myself. I'd love to come up for the meet, but 50 miles in each direction, with the prospect of rain and no
windscreen, might disuade me for coming. Since I've got my plates it's rained every day. For the short while I did get a dry spell, I
took the car out, but caught the start of a downpour and got soaked
Paul G,
Thank you for organising this event, but what is the latest time when we can let you know if we will / won't be coming? I don't want to
mess you around by saying I'll be there and then not show up.
Cheers
James

Should have got a helmet (£30) and waterproof breathable jacket (£20) and waterproof breatheable leather gloves (£5) from the BMF show last
weekend.
There were loads of bargains, I got a spare helmet which had been dropped for £10. OK its not useable to bounce your head down the road on a bike, but
ok as a fly and stone screen in the Viento
Still waiting for the DVLA to send me the paperwork. Hope I get it before Sat lunchtime.
