East Anglian get-together
Now that the weather has started to improve, is it time for an East Anglian get-together?
Should see quite a few more cars next time round... preferably somewhere where you don't run out of parking spaces half hour after the appointed
meeting time! (sorry, Paul! )

I vote for another Pauly bar b!
Plus we get an update on exhaust can industries!
I am happy to bring along some burgers and drinks to make it a bit fairer on Paul this time.

Or just food for thought.
David, how about the White Horse at Tattingstone. We can have the large grass field/carpark free of charge and it is fairly close to the Essex border?

That's not a bad idea - it's fairly accessable from the A12 and A14, so should be reasonable for quite a few folk...

I have a limited supply of good ideas so I have to be careful when i use them!
If we give them enough notice we might be able to get the WLM to come for day out?

Well, if we leave it a couple of weeks both Scott and DaveFJ might be able to join us... and it'll give me time to rebuild my dash, which
I've just torn out, sawed, shaped and generally abused!

No worries - I'd like to see more predictable weather as well, 'cos I want to take my car to the next outing...

Stuart,
We can still do the rolling road meet if any one is interested?
It would be here
http://www.lorvenperformanceservices.com/home.cfm
Run by a couple of mates of mine. We would get use of their big car park and a free bar b. I recently organised and ran the Pistonheads rolling road
there.
Stuart, if you just want a run on your own drop me a PM when you are ready and i will see if i can sort you out a good deal.
I think the White Horse at Tattingstone would make a great venue. If we can come up with a date i will have a talk with the land lady and see if we
can get a bar b thrown in???

The rolling road would be good, as I'm sure mine needs adjusting. However I'm still running-in the engine, so don't do it too soon!
BTW: How much do they charge for a tuning session?

How many miles are you running it in for??
Shouldn't take more than an hour to run an engine in. If you dont get some decent cylinder pressures early on those rings will never bed in!
I think dyno time rate is £70 +vat an hour.
Why don't we set a date for the Tattingstone meet. Say in a months time?

I've done 200 miles with max revs of 4k-ish. Now I'm starting to work up a bit... I'm probably being over-cautious, but after
losing oil on the way to the SVA, and a while later losing a lobe on my cam, I'm taking my time. Should be OK now, though.

Not too painful - how long does a tune up take? (finger-in-the-air guess!).

Its an official invite!!!
WLM meets EAM if you know what i mean.
Ned, could you speak to you "crew" and see if its viable and get back to us with some possible dates?
White Horse is a nice old country pub (out side toilet!) with a big grass car park/event field.
A bit of sunshine, a bar b que and some cold shandies could turn it into a brilliant meet.

be a possibility..

I don't think we could push Tom's Velocity as far as Tattingstone, but the Libra might make it.

Sooner the better as far as I'm concerned, but then we're in the GRP-top.
Rich, car looks good in your archive, wouldn't mind taking a look at it if that would be possible.
My 16 year old is building one with a crossflow and it would be nice to see a few bits we're not sure about.
We're only in Sible Hedingham.
