Thats spooky! I could have sworn I didn't have the camera on. I'd just about recovered and thats brought it all back.

You might not have mate, so a still-photo will have to do you for now...

Well I wouldn't call it an eventfull day. More an eventfull first lap. Schoolboy error, I know. At least I got through the sighting laps, unlike
some. Nothing a bit of gaffer tape won't fix!
Happened in the exact spot as the one Joe's shown, only I went across the front of the car I was passing.

On a wet day you see loads of problems at Druids, sadly always on the early laps till people realise how hard it bites. There's a tiny
lip/surface change, you can just see it in Joe's vid. Glad everyone came away unscathed apart from the fiberglass and pride )

Great vid! That was a moment an a half wasn't it!
Shame about the other fury, but thankfully doesn't look too serious. Fingers crossed it is a cheap fix.

Wow....sorry to see your damage there Adrian. It reinforces my thoughts about driving in damp conditiond on track tyres. You had 048r on the car?

Lucky lucky escape! you couldn't have been far off the green Corsa. ...and worse luck Ade. As has allready been said, that's a
particularly tricky spot, especially when wet.
Did you get any dry sessions at all?

Looks like fun Joe!
Tough luck Ade - not a difficult fix unless you have to take the rear tub off.

I was on 888's but I've used them in far wetter/worse conditions. I'd had a twitch at the same point on the sighting laps (next lap
there was mud on the track so someone had been visiting the scenery) and then a couple exiting ESSO and the chicanes but predictable/controlable and
I'd backed off even more after that. This one seemed to come from nowhere; Just cold tyres and the surface change I guess...and a dumb driver. I
had a feel at Joe's tyres after a hard session and they were stone cold.
The tub will just get patched up. Probably wont look pretty but it won't effect the performance... might be usefull if it slowed it down.
That second video spin is an exact replica if mine. People were going off there all morning.
Joe, did you get the sump sorted?

Joe - Pleased you had a good day and nothing too bad happened!
Well caught on Druids - Corsa must have pooped himself if he looked in the mirror!
Adrian - Sorry to see your mishap, hope it patches up well!

Just in case you're interested, there's a video here of me in the single seater
at a drowned Aintree (and my first ever drive of the car in the wet) - you can see it steps sideways just I'm coming off the line (and taken one
hand off the wheel to close my visor!)

The weather was poor but it was good to meet Steve Hignett and Adithorp. Hope the damage doesn't get in your way, Adrian - let me know if
there's owt I can do to help.
We lost traction a few times on the exit from Druids: there was a fuel / oil spillage from the apex to the middle of the track. But I was lucky when
I missed a down-change on the entry: 75% lack of talent + 25% clutch = green / brown Indy...
Joe - Sorry we didn't get to chat, but it looked from the pit-wall like you were having fun.

Joe, I did tell Steve to warn you about the effects of leaf mulch!
Glad you survived! Sorry you didn't Adrian.
As for the Elise driver, less talk and flailing of hands and more concentration I think Dick Head.

Im still chuckling to myself about that spin, how i missed that corsa i will never know.
But after that i took a passenger out and lost it again and put a hole in my sump on a high cerb just past druids, you could stick your finger through
it, , that was before dinner, we decided to take the sump off and steve started ringing around, to cut a long story short, i ended up welding the
sump up at a farm just down the road, stuck it back on and was out on track for the start of the afternoon sesion.
top quality day a fair few more spins too, eh steve !.
Adrian was very unlucky
Thank's, Joe
