mine is different to daves, has fine ally fins all over, but held it up and it is dimensionally the same. we recon'd it was due to them being pattern parts from different suppliers, same size etc, but different in construction..

the hole half way down on one side is for a rad fan sensor i think...
there is a small nipple type outlet at the top which could go to a header or water bottle..

ps i'm just off the aldershot road if you want to come over and compare..!

Ned that is exactly the same as mine.

Still not sure on this brass connection though!

Could do if I hadn't lent my camera to my brother.

It has to be the same as yours though with a small (5mm) tube poking out at 90 degrees, with a inlet below that.
