Not trying to hijack the thread but is anyone going via the M62. I am hoping that this will be my 1st long ride out but wouldn't mind tagging along with others if you don't mind a supersix in the convoy. I have asked on the Tiger forum but it's like waking the dead over there!

Ive just had confirmation that some members of ShACC (Shropshire Alternative Car Club) will hopefully be joining us on the convoy, and its looking good for some Westfields to join us too. I just need to find how early they will get out of bed, they do need their beauty sleep prior to a butty and a cuppa.

1030 Depart for Whitchurch
1100 Arrive Whitchurch South Little Chef to meet up with members of ShACC, WSCC OX, Richi, Shed & any others
1130 Depart Little Chef to travel to Oulten
1230 Arrive Oulten Park for TotalkitcarLIVE North

If this goes down with everybody okay and doesnt spoil too many peoples beauty sleep, I'll put it forward to ShACC & WSCC to check theyre okay with the timings

Yup, thats the one. We may need to do a quick drive by through the Whitchurch North little chef, but at the moment I dont know of anybody whos wanting to meet with us there.

I had an email over the weekend confirming that ShACC wont be joining us on the convoy. They are having a stand or area at the show and want to be there earlier than we're planning. Theyve said they will keep an eye out for the convoy.

That means that its just Ox, Richi, & Shed to collect from LC at south whitchurch, and possibly MikeLR too.

Anybody whos planning to join in, please could you drop me a U2U telling me where your planning on meeting me/us and if you could let me have your mobile number too, i'll give you mine by return incase of any problems - like the weather

I'm going to this, although not in a kit car. Coming down from Newcastle, so if you see a silver Aston Martin in your rear view mirror, theres a dam good chance it'll be me!

Car isn't mine though, just a friends...shame...

Quick question - can we book rides in cars in advance, or is it just a first come first served type job?

I'd get in contact with any of the manufacturers you want to get rides with and start buttering them up now.

Well, the weathers not looking good. Still got my fingers crossed but probably only a 10%chance that the MAC#1'll be coming out to play.

5pm - picked up engine and on the way home
8pm - start fitting new engine

Nice one well done. Good job. Just checked the weather and the journey up may be slightly wet but the afternoon looks clear. Fingers crossed it keeps on getting better.

Got back about an hour ago and just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody that took part in the convoy.

6+ from Shrewsbury/Shropshire WSCC came across, many thanks to them and thanks also go to Ox, Richi, Shed, Greg, & Martin.

Sorry for driving slowly enough to be overtaken by white vans. I was making sure everybody stayed together honest.

Great day. Pity it rained on the way home but only for the last half hour, and we managed to stay relatively dry. You got to a speed where the rain flys over your body and just hits the visor. My passenger found that ducking down behind the wind deflector escaped most of the rain. Phew.

No probs Ox, glad everybody seemed to enjoy it. I was a tad surprised there wasnt more overtaking. Everybody was VERY well behaved

Only got the one pic from the weekend. I did manage to get a vid of the Shropshire & Mid Wales WSCC arriving but no pics sorry.
