Every Friday during July and August, Poole quay have a car show, the theme varies each week from Italian stallions, TVR's, Mini's, VW air
cooled, English Classics etc and last night was Lotus 7's. I went along and met a big bunch of friendly Caterham owners in a car park 2 miles
from the quay, then at 6pm they open up the quay, we all drove down in convoy and parked up along the harbour. I had some fish and chips and chat with
a few other owners. A good night. It's the first time I've ever seen more than 1 other 7 type car at a time. There must have been 50-60
cars altogether, 85% Caterhams, but with a few Westfields, Dax (V8 monster), MK, tiger etc. Blue and Orange Caterham looked the best I think. There
was about 5 others with same BRG/yellow stripe as me! But mine now has some big Union Jacks on the side, just to be different....

Wow that looks great, very jealous
pity it,s a 2 hour drive away for me, all our shows got canned (outdoors on the sea front with a nice cool breeze)
We've been in the area 3 times and I I've missed the event. Not this year.
Fantastic turnout and lovely bunch of owners who were happy to chat. Some impressive machinery - for me seeing the fabled Dax 4 wheel drive made me
smile as it's always been a bit mythical. Felt sorry for the Westfield V8 owner who couldn't get his to start. Did enjoy being overtaken by
the 4.2 V8 Dax on the way home (lovely sound)
If we're ever back around poole I'll be making sure I visit.
Saw your car parked amoung the Caterhams and had a good nosey. Nice car. Did you have a black box in the passenger footwell?
Thanks MikeR
Yep I have a home made black box, just to hold some bits and bobs, goggles, headphones etc. a water bottle holder too. Just things I need accessible
from the driving seat.
Aha, I was wondering what it was for. Makes perfect sense now.
