Hi All,
Ive been thinking for a while now, about an LCB Eyeball, so that we can all finally meet, look at eachothers cars, take the wee or beat the crap out
of each other. Peterborough or maybe even Stoneleigh seem so be fairly central and easy to get to from most areas.
If i were to organise it, would anyone be interested? I could probably blag the venue as a charity event, to raise money for www.servhertsveds.org.uk
but i would need to be able to make it a proper charitable event, and lay on food etc.
So the question i need to ask are;
Would anyone be interested?
Does anyone know the stoneleigh events organisers?
What would you like to see at the LCB eyeball?
Just a thought, but i know there are loads of people on here that would like to meet, for varying reasons.
Yep, definitely interested. Stoneleigh seems like a good place, around about the first weekend in May sounds good

Good idea. Not sure if the numbers would be enough, maybe you should start a poll to get numbers? Also don't underestimate the amount of time
required to organize such a thing (keep it simple)...
Dan
I'd be up for it!
Subject of course to actually getting Kermit back on the road
Id be up for that!
sounds good

How large are you expecting this to be? If there are smallish numbers interested i may b able to help out with a venue. We have a campsite which
covers mabye 5 acres which im sure we would be able to accomodate quite a substantial amount of cars, also more land which, if the need was, im sure
my parents wouldnt mind letting us use to hold an event like this.
Im not sure about numbers we could accomodate but quite a few.
We are only about 15mins from newark showground so fairly central also
Another person here up for it!
Id be up for it but only when the locost is done

Always the optimist, i dont see why the event couldnt be as large as stoneleigh in terms of turnout. There are a lot of members on the forum, and there will be others that arent that will get wind of the event through the magazines if it is advertised there. Good publicity for the site as well (though i need to clear this all with Fozzie and the likes first of course).
If the event turned out 250 cars i would be impressed!!

t16turbotone - 23/3/10 at 08:03 PMsounds good
Benzine - 23/3/10 at 08:08 PMI'd go. A poll, as mentioned by someone earlier in the thread, would be a good idea. You get loads of people who just lurk threads and don't post but they'd tick box on a poll.
Would it be a day event or couple of days with camping?

Ill get a Poll going, and i need to get hold of Fozzie before it runs away with me!
Fozzie - 23/3/10 at 08:35 PMWell I think it sounds a great idea!

hey scott, do you ever use tony oates' garage?
Scotty - 27/3/10 at 10:54 AMerrr... yes i know of tony oates, mates family will only buy their cars from there
bob - 27/3/10 at 02:10 PMI think staggering this "eye ball" at different regular kit shows would be easier to organise, Detling/Stoneleigh/Newark/Exeter would be the hit list.
