What a fantastic day!
Brilliant show too. Primarily, we went to source more suppliers and see what is new that is relevant to us....... all sorted and were spoilt for
choice ....
Bumped into lots of old friends from the racing days, and a couple of our customers, beef bapped and mocha'd and cappacinio'd later...the
rest of the day was ours (mine....LOL)
Loads of stands, Demon Tweeks, SVC, MSA, Westfield, Lister and many many more......
I have uploaded lots of pics into my archive in the folder race Retro 2010 .... not got round to putting in descriptions, so you will have to look at
them all........
The Auto Jumble hall was brilliant.....lots of stuff for sale. Lots of nice blingy bits header tanks, catch tanks for very good prices.
All manner of trim bits, edging, piping, rubber edging extrusion, checker plate, ribbed rubber for floor, grill mesh, vinyls for trim, neoprene mats
(good for making seat pads or grp seats.... lots of original blingy bits, saw axles, wheels, gear boxes, all suitable for 7's.
There were all manner of work shop sundries, work shop manuals all true (60's 70's).
Tools, all manner of electrical bits, hoses, radiators (new). It was a true Aladdins cave.
A Fantastic day out, and far more bits for our type of cars, than were at Detling in 2008 (I didn't go last year)......
Anyway enough waffle, here are a few pics (more in my archive) ....

I like the mk1 cortina, and anglia
So did we Steve ...
The Lotus tina was owned at one time by Alan Mann .... it looked stunning ....
Excellent show! Well worth going (even with a hangover from a night in Coventry!)
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some cracking cars - the wall of death was awesome - well worth £2.50!
I also picked up a diff for my Elan - shame it leaked some oil into the boot of my brand new Audi :-(
Wyn
My Mum, had a lotus cortina, 1500 i belive, well thats what dad says,
and Dad had a 1600 MK2 GT Cortina 2 door, with a custom built 1600e 2 door interior , all courtesy of my rather well off grandfather
he at the same time had a MK 1 Capri, in silver, on a F plate, yet again from what i have been told, was unique, as the Capri had not been launched,
There could be photos, ??????????
I may have to call Mum in the morning to find them !!!!!!!!
Stu still has his mk2 gt 2 door tina ..... its been in bits for ages..... LOL
Wyn ... I saw that diff! Was it in the auto-jumble hall with some other lotus stuff?
Fozzie
Are both the Lola's T70's and if they are, are they standard cars?

The red one is a copy of John Surtees winning CanAm car. Should have the number 7 in the white area on the nose.
Yeah the diff was in the autojumble - being sold by Paul Robinshaw. I could have bought a lot more! There was an original Series 1 26R there for sale
- shame it was £130k!
The Lolas were gorgeous - I loved the quality of the fabrication of the dash / crossbeam area - and they'd left it all exposed.
Great show!
