Hi All.
Gaz 1977 and myself (907) will be having a BBQ on SUNDAY 28th JUNE, 1 o'clock start.
Kits, Classics, Tintops, All will be welcome. Just bring along whatever you want to eat & drink and we'll sort the BBQ's.
I'll do a Tesco trip and get the bread rolls in and no doubt the girls will chuck some salad in a bowl. All very informal.
All we need is YOU.
It will be at Gaz's house as he has more room for the cars, and only lives a couple of miles from me.
For those that haven't been before it's near Clare. (Sfk). Locosters from further away will be especially welcome.
We hope to have a few local cars, mostly classics, to add a bit of interest and just hope the weather is kind.
Post on this thread if you hope to come and we will U2U the post code.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Cheers
Paul & Gaz
I will try to make it along again this year was a good get together last timr
David
I should be along , look forward to it. Mel
Blimey, that was quick.
Didn't even have time to consult your diaries.
Cheers
Paul G
I reckon that we'll be along - glad it wasn't 1 week earlier as that's when my son's getting married!
Should be there. Just order up some nice weather!
Cheers Geoff.

Gaz.
We shall hopefully be there
hi can you send me the potcode, so i can see how far you are away from me.
thanks
stuart
Can't tell exactly how far away you are - but there are some of the nicest roads for a seven between the two places!
I nominate you as convoy leader David, since you have been to Gaz's.
(You have U2U Stuart)

Hi Paul/Gaz
I should hopefully make it.
I'll have to go for a run somewhere else 1st as I'll not have things warmed up if I come straight to you

These bloomin' A12 drivers are all the same.
I bet you get lost in yer own back yard.
Paul G
That's rich, coming from someone living in the sticks! It's not easy finding your way round those dirt tracks, especially with all those
hostile natives...
Dirt tracks????
They are only dirt tracks during the ploughing season.
As for the hostile natives... carry a white flag.
Paul G
I got lost on the way back from Pauls last time... and i was using a satnav!

citroen ds
volvo p1800
105e
bentley turbo rt
dax cobra
triumph gt6
triumph tr4
there should be a good mix of cars
everyone is welcome to join us
thanks
Gaz
If the weather good and there's no family commitments I may well make the trip up there
Sadly I have a family 'do' in Little Hallingbury....
Gaz and I were having a chat the other morning (the benefits of being your own boss )
and were talking about the BBQ.
We were thinking of the relatively nearby groups that meet up, so if any of you fancy
a drive out that day you would be more than welcome to call in.
As it's a bring your own eats & drinks then the more the merrier. There's loads of car park space.
Cheers
Paul G & Gaz
Would love to come along. It will be great to catch up.
Cheers
Jon

There's an airfield trackday on the 27th the day before at Woodbridge which I believe is just down the road from Clare in Suffolk.
If I can get this organised I might well go to that then come on over to you for the next day.
Anybody else interested in the trackday? It's £129 open pit lane.

Its not that far from woodbridge really. Good roads as said if you pick the right route.
After all the excitement of Miss Newark it's back to reality.
We were due a visit from "Miss Haverhill Meat Products", but alas her shifts have fell wrong and the needs
of the slaughter house are greater than ours.
(In the event of a power cut she frightens the pigs to death; a post previously held by my mother-in-law.)
Gavin U2U'd me for the post code so I think the Chelmsford crew plan on calling in.
Anyone else need the post code/directions?
Cheers
Paul & Gaz
I'll see what I'm upto Sunday...might try and bring the Phoenix across for a run out....

if all goes well on friday at cadwell then i will pop along to the essex meet and convoy on up to you afterwards.
Can you PM me the post code so at least someone has it in the group
Hi All
Looks like a warm day is forecast, he says, hopefully.
If anyone needs the postcode drop me a U2U and just in case anyone does get lost
then you may want to make a note of these phone numbers.
07786868017 Gaz
07779561613 Me (Paul)
07891987389 Aileen (The Wife)
The 3rd one is not recommended from a geography point of view, but she has ears like a hawk
and can hear a phone ring above the sound of a 5L V8.
Looks like we may well have busy day.
Anyone else that would like to join us will be more than welcome.
Cheers
Paul & Gaz
Edit to add possible numbers.
Definite 36 people / 17 cars
Possibly 58 people / 32 cars

Gutted I can't be there Paul, have a great day!!
Thanks alot for a nice run out... Awesome roads where you are
Thanks
Ed
Many thanks to Paul and Gary for organising yet another great BBQ. Nice to put a few names to faces. Some great cars there as well, I know Paul's camera was full
Yes, many thanks from both of us - very kind of you all to organise it.
Some nice cars there - but I'll definitely remember my ride in the race-tuned Aston Martin Vantage! Goes like stink, makes a wonderful noise
when pushed, and handles surprisingly well for a 1.8 ton car.

(you have to be VERY careful when you say that... )
Thanks to Gaz and Rachel for hosting this event and indeed thanks everyone.
A special thanks to Francis for the fly past in the biplane.
How did he miss those trees?
Cheers All
An excellent afternoon, Nice people, Nice Cars, Nice food & Nice weather. Special thanks to Gary & Rachel for the venue and to Paul for the invite. Did any one get wet after we left, as we got a short distance down the road and we got caught in a heavy short shower (Wipers worked though) could have done with a set on my sunglasses though. Cheers, Grant & Heidi
Thanks for the bbq chaps and chapesses. A good time was had buy me. Some nice cars there.
I got soaked on the way home though!!! It rained from a mile from There to a mile from my house where its been dry all afternoon!! Good job my water
proofs were behind the seat!
Again a big thanks to Gaz and Rachel. Some interesting cars there. I now have a wife who yearns for a Citroen DS and 2 teenage girls demanding a Aston
Martin!
Sure enough shortly afetr leaving the heavens opened at which point my wife pulled over and demanded that i drive the Tiger! until the sun came out
again, theni had to hand over the keys!
I just wish I'd had a tape recorder to get the sound of that Aston... I glanced over when he was giving it some stick and I'm sure that I
saw the rev counter at or around 8,000 rpm - and that's a lot for a big V-8!
The sound was awesome...
yes, i want that sound as a new ringtone for my blackberry/beer bottle opener
i missed it, i was thinking off going, but then i realised i had an meeting down teh club i go jetski at, and the sea was flat so i picked a jetski
out of the gragre and went jetsking.lol
anybody got a pic of the aston?
