chrisg - 20/2/04 at 08:21 PM

locoboy - 20/2/04 at 08:30 PM

will be there Sunday, On the lash in Dublin the Thursday and friday before!

Is there going to be a common meeting place so some of us that have not met anyone off this list can put a few names to some faces?

Sorry to dissapoint but its notoriosly poo for "builders" stalls, plenty of neon water jets, fake carbon fibre air vents and furry dice

oh i forgot, im sure you will be able to sign up for a new mobile too.

Metal Hippy - 20/2/04 at 09:25 PM

The amount of natural thermal padding you two carry how the hell could you think you were gonna die?

Hellfire - 20/2/04 at 09:45 PM

The usual meeting place is the bar (there is only one) at 12.00.

Does that suit everyone?

I shall be wearing a red carnation, and you ALL owe me a pint.

Cheers

Chris

Mk-Ninja - 21/2/04 at 07:21 PM

Sounds good

Ill bring 20p

Any details for Goodwood yet Chris.

Carl.H - 22/2/04 at 07:36 PM

Call your self’s locoster's, since when was a B&B locost.
Next you’ll be getting a Volvo with a roof and heated seats

bob - 22/2/04 at 08:33 PM

LOL

Carl,it was that cold mate.We nearly gave up,was going to leave the tent there and go look for a hotel

Carl.H - 22/2/04 at 09:06 PM

You’re probably right Bob
I’ll see what the weather’s like closer to the time.

Where there many camping when you went?

bob - 23/2/04 at 10:28 AM

there were a couple of other tents with brave souls in, but in the main it was a few caravans and campervans.

The toilets were locked and we couldnt find any water,as luck would have it we took beer which eventually numbed the pain

MK9R - 23/2/04 at 12:44 PM

see you all there on sunday

scutter - 4/3/04 at 07:09 AM

I'll be there Sunday, look forward to seeing you all again.

All the best Dan.

OX - 4/3/04 at 01:44 PM

going sat with bourne and 8 thumpers and then popping across to see you guys on sunday

David Jenkins - 4/3/04 at 02:21 PM

What is this show?

Never heard of it before - is it kit cars, or general car stuff?

How is it for bits-and-pieces sellers?

David

bob - 4/3/04 at 04:03 PM

David

all the main bit n piece sellers are there normally, its not bad for an opener its a bit like donington without the track.

Mk-Ninja - 4/3/04 at 05:46 PM

Has anybody got directions to it.

Thanks Gordon

James - 4/3/04 at 05:48 PM

Probably do Sunday.

160miles seems a blinkin long way for a kit car show though!

James

bob - 4/3/04 at 05:54 PM

according to the map, its 280 miles approx for us hard-nut cornishmen, leaving at 4am

A Badger - 5/3/04 at 11:57 AM

Looking forward to it. Made sure the Wife is busy on the Sunday and has no jobs lined up.

Better still it's my birthday the week after so I can even get away with treating myself to something.

Andrew

Peteff - 6/3/04 at 05:10 PM

You need beer and a couple of tins of baked beans down you. Soon warms up if the tent is small enough.

yours, Pete.

P.S. Glad I've got a caravan.

bob - 6/3/04 at 06:05 PM

I used beer and tin of lethal chilli a couple of years back

Just about survived, only made one emergency call to ray mears but he said find a hotel

Spyderman - 8/3/04 at 01:32 PM

Fifer - 9/3/04 at 08:41 PM

I'm driving down from Aberdeen !!!, the wife thinks she's going away for a nice weekend to Stafford. Hee Hee, just wait till she see's the credit card statment.
Anyone recommend a place to stay on the friday night within an hour or so of Stafford, North on M6 ? Perhaps if there's something near there for the wife on the Friday, I wont get so much grief when we drive into a Kit car show car park !

richijenkin - 9/3/04 at 08:48 PM

I'll be there.. the one sitting next to the "for sale" stand with my dog and bucket.

Peteff - 9/3/04 at 09:13 PM

Are you selling a dog and bucket then? I wasn't going but I am now. I want the wheels off fifer and it's the easiest place to pick them up so I may as well have a look round. Buxton might be a place for Friday night if it's not too far out of the way.

yours, Pete.

Mk-Ninja - 9/3/04 at 09:47 PM

Yes Buxtons OK especialy for the girls. If your stopping over try the Buckinham Hotel good and not too expensive. Ill find some others if you want this area. In fact if you want I could pick you up Sunday morning so you can leave your car with the wife

Northy - 10/3/04 at 07:56 AM

Cheers

Fifer - 10/3/04 at 08:48 PM

Thanks for the Buxton tip Ninja, I am only there on Fri and Sat but thanks also for offer of lift on Sunday.
Peteff, are you going to be there on Saturday then ?
If so, just call my mobile and we can hook up.

cashy - 10/3/04 at 10:59 PM

Hi all,

I hope to be there Sunday looking to see if theres any good cars for sale.....

Also if anyone wants any seats, dont forget to get in touch with me before you buy.

Regards

Adrian

James - 12/3/04 at 12:39 PM

Hi Adrian,

You know we're meeting in the bar at 12! Come along and say hello.

Would be nice to meet the guy I'm planning to buy my Cobras off!

Cheers,

James

Peteff - 14/3/04 at 01:20 PM

I got the wheels off Steve (thanks Fifer) who was buying with a vengeance and I had a look round for a couple of hours. I bought a set of drills as well. Saw him and his wife as they were leaving, hope they had a good trip back to Scotland. Really glad I decided to go Saturday as the weather today is awful, rain and wind here.

theconrodkid - 14/3/04 at 07:54 PM

nice to see some new faces and some of the old ones as well

MK9R - 15/3/04 at 08:40 AM

Saw you all throught he window in the bar, but it was so busy i couldn't get in! I went off to get a couple more bits intending to come back after half an hour when things had died down a bit, 2.5 hrs later and £200 lighter i remembered and you had gone

Got a total bargain from that scrappy lookings stand by the bar, a set of brand new, drilled and grooved Black diamond disc for an XR4x4 for £35!! These are £160 from Demon tw@ts!!!

Mk-Ninja - 15/3/04 at 08:58 AM

Great to see everybody, not a bad little show pity about the weather, I got soaked just getting back to the car.

ned - 15/3/04 at 12:54 PM

James - 23/3/04 at 06:03 PM

This being off work sick is a terrible thing- I've only managed about 5 hours out in the garage today!
