The venue is Debden Airfield (MR: 154/TL567344), Water Lane, near Saffron Walden, CB10 2.
Follow signs to Carver Barracks and the HCAAC direction pointers placed at local junctions. If
travelling via Newport, take the turning by PremierGarage (car dealer). The airfield entrance is
highlighted with HCAAC pointers (this is not the main entrance to Carver Barracks). There are 4
passes enclosed with this document; each vehicle requires a pass to get into the venue. The
course is separated by a security fence from Carver Barracks, to which we have no access.
If you are serious about coming along I can supply you with a pass.
and me
My fastest run of 65.7 sec, beaten into 3rd place in class by Pete Golding (62.8 !) and Stephen Laing (65.6)
Must try harder and also must sort out the inlet temp !

Hope you enjoyed yourself Sean, I'll see you next year with your Westfield
My mate was there in an orange Renault 5 turbo. Apparently he won his class too.
Was a great day, only got about 20 mins to walk around the cars due to marshal duties so didnt meet many drivers but weather was great, cars were
great to watch & my son had a great time too.
Good to meet you Jeff, when I get time in the next couple of days I will upload the pics for you, I have a couple of action shots
The Renault 5 was certainly giving it some everytime it came past us Dave, I didnt get many pics through the day but my boy got some so I will see if
he has one of the Renault 5 in action.
We will certainly be back on the next one too
What do you use for the video camera, I like your set-up, I'm messing with obd2 and racechrono on the ipAQ with satellite reciver via Bluetooth, but not sure what or how to combine it all with video or what to use to camera wise.
The camera system is Race Technology's Video 4 system with the built in GPS and 4 cameras.
And here is the comparison between the class winner. Pete Goulding and my fastest run....See if you can spot where he is faster by 3 secs.

that thing had some serious grip in the first tight right hander/hairpin
that thing had some serious grip in the first tight right hander/hairpin
Impressive isn't it....I was amazed that I was in the lead into the first few corners till we are level at the bus stop. The exit of the 180 is
where he starts going away seriously.
Looking at it again he brakes much earlier for the 180 and hugs it all the way round. I think a lot of the time is on that one corner. He beat me by
3 secs in the end.

Here are some pics of you Jeff.
Taken on my mobile phone but next time I will bring the Nikon with me to get some really nice pictures

My son was trying to guess how fast you were all going before having to brake for the first flick before the hairpin ?
Thanks for the pictures. The datalogger says that it was 102.3 MPH prior to braking for the bus stop, in just over 8 secs.
