How do you stick your magnet's stuck them down but keep flying off what you used ?

3m dp 609, 2 part adhesive is what I used. 2 years and still going on a driveshaft.

File it a little were you want it, that gives it a clean rough flat and araldite the magnet on it.

Is it on the prop?

If using Araldite (or the majority of 2 part epoxy glues) the 5min rapid set versions are tinately lower strength than the 12/24 hr versions

As per Coozer, I used a file to get a clean but rough surface. I then used slow setting araldite (which means that you can only do one a day, as it need to be on a horizontal surface). I placed them on the output flange of the diff rather than the propshaft side on the basis that they would be rotating 3.62 (Sierra LSD) times slower and therefore less likely to fly off. There was also a convenient lug on the diff to attach a bracket for the sensor

I drilled a little recess and bonded the magnet into it. Two-part epoxy and a wrap of duct tape around it to hold it tight.

As Owelly, been on 8 years now with no prob.

I used a sensor from RS (can't remember the model number) and it happily reads the bolt heads without any magnets.

I used epoxy and a cable tie on my prop. Works perfectly.
