South Brum Elan Valley Run

Hi Guys,

The South Brum gang have been busy again - this time in Wales.

Colin (Smart51) had planned a run from Alcester to the Elan Valley Visitors Centre, round the Reservoirs and home again.

So on Saturday 19th May we set-off amid blue skies. There were 4 cars, Colins MNR R1, Marks MK Indy, Dave Ashursts Locost and my ST Locost and 6 people. The four drivers plus Dave 69-isit and his lad - Michael.

See the photo's below.

Looks like you had a rather wet trip. Was hoping it was going to stay dry for you.

I was hoping to come along, but it was too close to exams unfortunately. Maybe next time , might even have the GTS done by then.

Shame about the weather. I really wanted to come, but I'm on DIY overload at the moment as we're in the final stages of an extension to our house, so the decorating is starting in earnest...

Hopefully we can do something similar later in the year...?

Weather wasn't too bad really.

It showered on the way there and on/off showers as we drove around the lakes but dried up around 13:00 and stayed dry for the rest of the day.

I'm sure most would do it again

Was hoping to make it but the forecast put me off and I ended up changing brake pads on the tin-top and fitting a tow bar.
