Pictures finally
Here it is, my first scratch built car after its first ever drive. Will now rebuild, add more triangulation to chassis, lighten and paint. Oh and when
i've got time make bodywork!

I'm glad i've had positive replies, the chassis is fairly boxy and I am aware of this, but I did design it 4 years ago! Bodywork will be
simple sheet ally, with large inlet vents on the sides of each pod. And a nice curve for the front end, I am considering shortening the very front
section for a sharper bodywork curve? Opinions?
The whole project has been an experimental, and learning tool, a two seater for track use, thats alot of fun to drive!
It was designed to be different, i did read Ron's book, but wanted enclosed wheels and mid-engined.
The hubs are Honda, diff and rack are Sierra, shocks are blade rear items (anyone else used these on a car yet?)
Any suggestions for bodywork / Improvements are welcome.

However, if you have a prang, try to go into the tyres backwards. At least you'll keep your feet & lower legs that way.

its so cute!! what does the wheel base measure?
only suggestion i have so far is the triangulation, which obviously you are going to do.
looks cool so far, bit like an over size go cart!

Oversized go-kart! Well your not the first person to say that, wheels are 17" which does make rest of car look smaller.
As far as my legs are concerned, its a solid chassis, I am considering making the nose section collapsable (foam filled), but i'm not planning
to crash!

frontal impact shouldn't be too much of an issue if you don't really triangulate the front trangle / slopey bit and use that as a crumple
zone.
Shocks look a little worrying - perhaps something tieing the two together and make that into the wing.
The lack of triangulation looks scary at this stage
Have to say its rather cool - well done mate. Its pretty much what i want to do with an Audi engine in the back at some stage. Any chance of a lot
more pictures and keep us up to date with the bodywork.

Been finishing off the rollbar in the garage today.
Sadly I don't think i'll have the time or patience to do GRP. Unless anyone out there can tell me the best method and if an entire
bodyshell is possible?
Had a look at your build too, I have to agree with everyone, its looking good, clearly a perfectionist!

heh thanks chaps! just a loose scribble really, could do with being refined and theres a few bits i'd change (round the back end off etc)
but.. well.. i was slightly hungover so was making excuses not to get ready in the morning.
(and it does have reeaaly cute stubby proportions )
glad you're liking my build so far.. perfectionist? oh i wouldnt say that, just EXTREMELY paranoid about messing something up!! 
ps hellfire: why thank ye sir! i'll have you know it was yours and avoneers build diary's that basically inspired me into getting into
this whole lark!
