Scam vans getting sneaky
Just a small rant at how a scam van was trying to catch people on my way home. The road is called the 'rabbit run' which goes from Telford
to Himley in Dudley. Ive been using this road for a month now at a new job and its amazed me how my Range rover classic has survived the awful road
with its HUGE pot holes. Yet they can afford to pay for these ok.
However today a scam van the first ive seen on this road was parked up in a field, this road has no markings on it for the camera to use as a
reference and also no speed camera signs on its entire length. So what is the stance if you get cought like this? luckily everyone was tailing back as
i think they all knew it wasnt supposed to be there.
Its the entrance to the field on the right of the picture (nabbed from google to show the location).

EDIT, the bushes are larger now and fully green so it was hard to see the van if comming towards the camera. Good job he wasnt there last friday when
i went to work in the kitcar.

The stance if you get caught is you get caught. They do not have to have road markings or signs. They advertise on the internet where they are going
to be, that way there cannot be a get out clause like there used to be. You used to be able to get off by using a loop hole to do with entrapment.
I got caught a few weeks ago, its a fair cop I said. Till I drove off then I used some stronger words. To myself for being a tit

The camera is laser based and has a "scope" on it so the operator can "target" the cars dierectly - Recorded onto video or
something like with "time date and speed recorded" bit like getting down with the old "gun"
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Where do they post on the internet where they are going to be?
That would be a must have favourite.

Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.

I'd call the farmer who owns the field. Scam van will move pretty quick when there's a tractor heading for the field exit!

vans surely have to be parked legally if not surely there could be a case of trespass if he is parked within a field and without pemission
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Ours are here, google your county with something like "whatevershire speed camera
locations" and they come up in a pdf.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I get the Leicester locations emailed to me every Sunday for the following week.
They used to tell you what DAY the vans would be in what location. Now they just tell you
where they will be within the week.
Still, better than nowt.
