no worries Mr Grumpy
for the vast majority of serving police officers that do a great job & are fair , its the odd one that causes the " tarred with same brush" syndrome, which must be annoying to the good guys/gals in blue.
oh its a few years since i did last id parade, i often wondered why i wasn,t getting asked to do them i thought maybe i look too innocent

I don't think it's the odd copper that "slips up" or who displays inconsiderate driving etc. I personally feel that a certain number of people in the police force are set in their ways because of the stuff/people that they have to deal with on a daily basis, that they end up feeling a lot more "Us and Them" than the public do.

Obviously just IMO, but I have been "involved" with the police a few times, have observed a couple of things that I would hate to see again (brutality), and on the flip side, my brother is a copper in Manchester, so I am aware of the difficulties of the job. In fact I have posted in a "for" the police manner on many occasions, the last time was in conjuction with Grumpy!

ETA - that all made sense in my head!!! I am a couple of wodka's into the evening after a shocking week and have at least 30 odd hours of KC work ahead of me this weekend before starting back again monday! So sorry if the above seems like Codsh1t!
