Not a trackday tyre recommendation
Jubal - 21/1/06 at 11:11 PM

I did my first trackday in the Indy today. The car was fantastic but I think my choice of rubber was wrong. I fitted these:

Indy Sport slicks, in a soft compound and by mid afternoon the rear was well lively and I was struggling to get the power down. I'm also guessing that having an open diff was compounding the problem and heating up the tyres even more.

Met Ox briefly in his busa powered machine. Hiya mate. Gotta say I cannot now recommend the tyres no matter how good they look on the car (see archive).

Shame, but as ever I guess you get what you pay for.

Which trackday was that??

Oulton Park, with Easytrack. It was a good event and at 99 quid was cheap for Oulton.

Thought it was too good to have come from a compact! EOS 350 is a great camera.
