Had a fantastic drive over the Peak District the other day..
2.0L Zetec on Twin Dellortos .. gotta be 40mpg gauge hardly moved!
Old crossflow was stupid mpg..
Had a biker slide off and drive into the back of me ..broke my fog light.. He fell off!
Said I stopped too quick ?? Fixed the fog light today removed tyre marks ..phaaa..
Thought about insurance but seriously not worth the hassle ..

High Level brake light top of my agenda!
Fab power 155bhp & Fab mpg
Zetecs are hard to beat for the money.
My £80 2.0 blacktop has has some hammering and never missed a beat, despite accidentally hitting 8100 rpm on one track day.
How on earth the the biker manage to fall off and hit you?
mpg was one of the reasons I swapped the pinto for the Zetec in my Indy.
It's much faster and smoother too.
I reckon my standard fuel injected Zetec is quicker than my K Series Fuel Injected Roadsport.
The Zetec zips up to 70 in next to no time, and it's just ace around the town.
If I built another car, Zetec would certainly be at the top of the engine list.
Best thing I ever did with that car... bar none !
Photos on the lane between AxeEdge and the Cat+Fiddle roads?
Yep .. up to the Cat & Fiddle for a beer .. fab view v
40 MPG... I think I am lucky to get 28 with my Zetec St170 engine.... I do have ITB's though and about 175BHP....

Most of the driving was around a steady 50 with a few blats and a handful of nice overtaking. . Going from Crossflow 99bhp to Zetec 155bhp is fabulous. . The 40 to 80 is very strong and satisfying
Came back on the Cat and Fiddle road after the Edinburgh Trial last October towing a trailer with the Skoda trials car. There are some absolute NUMPTIES on that one. Big horse box overtaking on a blind bend gave me the willies amongst one or two more. There was a big cycle race going on but still the nutters wanted to get on and nutsack to anyone else on the road. Cracking road imhabited by a few arsholes.
