So me and the wife left the house at half 6 this morning heading for the channel tunnel. by 12 we were in spa having lunch. unfortunatly nothing was on or happening as they were closed after last weeks f1. Then we went to nurburgring. its been a really hot day and its was heaving with some very nice metal. Unfortunatly the track was closed due to an accident so we went off to the hotel. this place is very nice and deffinatly suitable for a few beers, perfect food and a view worthy of the drive.

i can put up some pics next week when i get home. they will include the swiss alps. for now please enjoy the view over looking a deer park that we are enjoying dinner and a few beers.

I have been to two hotels in this area now. If you want petrol head heven then u2u me and ill dig out the info. i am organising a trip next year and there could be an invite to LCB peoples to come and play the hotel is the dogs busy bits!

For you and your wife this hotel is quite idilic. its called Kastenholz hotel and i would class as a mid 4 star continental hotel (4 star europe is not the same as a uk lux 4 star) about 70 quid pppn inc breakfast. nice large room with a great view, food well presented and worth the money. It over looks a field containing very cute bambi style deer, made my wife melt so i had local venison for dinnir!!

Last 50km via the ring is nice driving to but not much fun in a laden estate.

off to sleep now. next stop, the swiss alps!!

How strange, we were at the ring last weekend in a MK2 RS2000. Hotel Wilhelmshohe is the place we stayed.

Jacqueline is the english lady that runs the place, top food and only 16Km from the ring.
