I drove it to work today for the first time, 25 miles, longest trip it's done, Wow what an experience. Also just been out with some work
collegues for a drive. All I (and the passengers) can say is the grin factor is amazing! I am still smiling now, it's a similar feeling to when
the engine started for the first time. And I built it myself!!!
For all those going through SVA/DVLA right now, it's definitly worth it.
Roll on the summer, any chance of a sunny day and I will be driving the seven.

Just make sure that you're insured to take the car to work as my Kit policy specifically excludes commuting...

Mine has already had what will probably be one of the longer trips it will do and it wasnt even registered.
61 miles to SVA and 51 Miles back it broke 
10 miles from home but it passed
I have made sure my insurance covers me for commuting I specifically asked for it. I would make sure yours has it.
Most Kit car policies exclude commuting, mine does.
Check before commuting to work!
As you have probably already noticed, it drives like nothing you have ever driven before.
So take it steady until you have learned how your car drives. You dont want a summer rebuild this early on.
It was worth the build journey... However painful it was! Wasnt it?

Thanks for this post. This makes me even more cheezed off that DVLA in Carlisle still have not contacted me. I was planning to go to the Barbon Hill Climb in it this weekend when it passed SVA on April 6th.

Took mine to work today for the first time this year, nearly every other driver had a grin on his/her face when they see me go past.
Also took my BOSS out for a little spin, he's never been in a kit before. He drives a Prodrive Scooby and after two roundabouts he said he liked
it alot and that he thought his Scooby would struggle to keep up.

im still shocked something i bolted together is on th road
I've got next tuesday off, I AM clearing the garage.
I'm working now (sic) so I'm going to look up welding courses, and read through the Haynes welding manual.

Well done Keith it looks great and what an experience to drive. Mine is now on the road all taxed etc I can see that it is going to cost me dearly in
tyres just hope I can hold onto my licence. I agree with you about the smiling I am still grining now even at 6.30 at work!!
Have you taken it round any bendy roads yet? Had a go myself last Saturday my bottle and ability gave up way before I reached any of the cars
potential!
